20 Tips Anak Outstanding!

Assalamualaikum,

berbanding rakan sebayanya..selamat mencuba!

Saya ingat lagi kat sekolah dulu
org panggil saya mak enon. Malu sangat… rasa mcm tanak
gi sekolah pun ade.

sampai kawan tu takut nak dekat dgn kita langsung.
Kesian kat budak. Namanya pun budak…

4. Berikan peneguhan setiap kali anak anda berbuat
kebaikan - Berilah pujian, pelukkan, ciuman, hadiah

5. Janganlah mengharapkan anak anda yang belum matang
itu melakukan sesuatu perbuatan baik secara berterusan
- mereka hanya kanak-kanak yang sedang berkembang.
Perkembangan mereka buatkan mereka ingin mengalami
setiap perkara termasuklah berbuat silap. Sebenarnya

kita.

7. Di dalam membesarkan dan mendidik anak-anak,
janganlah tuan/puan mengeluh - Keluhan akan membuatkan
anak-anak merasakan diri mereka beban. Ini akan
menyebabkan mereka menjauhi kita.

Tunggu
giliran anda untuk bercakap. Ini akan mengajar anak
anda tentang giliran untuk bercakap. Seronok
sebenarnya layan bebudak bercakap. Adik saya pun dalam
kategori budak lagi, kalau sesekali layan dia cakap
rasa mcm kelakar. Saya penah jumpa dgn kawan anak saya
umur baru tiga thn tapi mulut boleh tahan, rasa mcm
tak logic je tapi seronok. Ala, mcm aznil Tanya budak

9. Tenangkan anak anda setiap kali mereka
memerlukannya – ada masa2nya mereka akan gundah
gulana. Ada masa mungkin diorg berselisih dgn kawan.
Ada masa mungkin dia dah tercederakan jiran. Jadi,
kita bantulah sedaya kita supaya mereka tidak rasa
sendirian dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang bagi kita
kecik tapi tu mungkin masalah mega bg diorg.

10. Tunjukkan kepada anak anda bagaimana cara untuk
menenangkan diri . Mereka akan menirunya. Jgn kita
sendiri kelam kabut bila ada yang menimpa. Jgn kita
tunjuk yang kita gelabah. Be cool!! Setiap masalah
yang telah Tuhan takdirkan pada kita ada
penyelesaiannya. Jadi, jgn gabra2.

11. Buatkan sedikit persediaan untuk anak-anak
menyambut harijadinya. Sediakanlah hadiah harijadi
yang unik walaupun harganya murah. Keunikan akan
membuatkan anak anda belajar menghargai. Anak2 yg dtg
daripada persekitaran yang menghargai akan belajar
menghargai orang lain.

12. Mereka mungkin memerlukan kita mengajar mereka
ajar, baru dia faham. Mcm anmum punya iklan
tu..Wardina tunjuk byk kali baru anak dia faham. Anak
saya sendiri dalam satu hari ntah berapa kali dia
tunjuk kat mata dia suruh saya sebut eye, tunjuk kat
telinga suruh sebut ear. Jgn marah sbb kalau marah nnt
terbantut la proses pembelajaran dia.

13. Luangkanlah masa bersama anak anda diluar rumah,
peganglah tangan anak-anak apabila anda berjalan
pimpin tangan anak2 even dalam rumah pun. Bila nak
ajak dia bangun je, saya hulur tangan. Even nak
kedapur pun untuk bancuh susu diorg. Kalau kat luar
mmg lah sah2 pegang sbb saya jenis serabut perut takut
anak terlari tgh jalan ke.

14. Dengarlah mimpi ngeri anak-anak anda. Mimpi ngeri
pendengar setia mereka. Kalau pasangan kita mimpi pun
apa salahnya kita dengar. Best hape dengar cerita dari
mimpi. Mcm drama tapi takde skrip, takde director, dan
takde siaran ulang tayang.

15. Hargailah permainan kesayangan anak anda . Mereka
juga dalam masa yang sama akan menghargai
barang-barang kesayangan anda. Elakkan daripada
membuang barang kesayangan mereka walaupun sudah
rosak. Mintalah kebenaran mereka sebelum berbuat
demikian.

16. Janganlah membiarkan anak-anak anda tidur tanpa
ciuman selamat malam – biasakan ajar dia salam kita
sebelum lena. Cium dahi diorg esp mak nya..mcm cerita
omputeh kan selalu dia gi bilik tidur anak n
selimutkan diorg.

17. Terimalah yang kadangkala anda bukanlah ibubapa
yang sempurna . Ini akan mengurangkan stress menjadi
ibu bapa. Ada masa anak kata papa ni garangla.. tu
sbnrnya dia menegur so, ubahla. Jgn jadi too
perfectionist pada anak2. nnt mereka rendah diri.

18. Jangan selalu membawa bebanan kerja pejabat ke
rumah.

mula terasa sunyi. Anak-anak anda mula sibuk mendengar
tangisan anak mereka sendiri. Hoo..seram. tapi ada
betulnya. Buatlah sesuatu supaya mereka tak menjauh
dari kita. Semoga kita tidak sunyi dihari tua kita.

Semoga bermenfaat!

Bridge Made of Paper In Southern France

Bridge made of paper
Bridge made of paper Japanese architect Shigeru Ban -- iconic for his use of eco-friendly, lightweight materials -- on Friday lifted the veil on a paper bridge over the Gardon River in southern France.

Built half a mile from the Pont du Gard -- a section of ancient Roman bridge classed as a UN World Heritage site -- Shigeru's cardboard-tube structure is strong enough to carry 20 people at a time.

Reaching over the water to a sandy islet mid-river, it opens to the public for six weeks starting on Monday, before it is dismantled for the rainy season.

"It is a very interesting contrast, the Roman stone bridge and the paper bridge. Paper too can be permanent, can be strong and lasting. We need to get rid of these prejudices," Ban said.

"A bridge was one of my dreams," he said, as he thanked the two dozen French architecture students and three from Japan who built the bridge as a month-long project.

Weighing 7.5 tonnes, the bridge is made from 281 cardboard tubes, each 11.5 centimetres (four inches) across and 11.9 millimetres thick. The steps are recycled paper and plastic and the foundations wooden boxes packed with sand.

Massive Mastodon Tusks Discovered in Greece

World's Longest Tusks The two well-preserved tusks seen above are among the recently unearthed parts of a mastodon--a prehistoric elephant-like mammal related to the mammoth--found in northern Greece.

Measuring 16.4 feet (5 meters) and 15 feet ( 4.6 meters), the toothy remains "are the longest tusks ever to be discovered in the world," team leader Evangelia Tsoukala of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki said in an email. The team, seen inset surrounding the tusks, also uncovered some of the animal's leg bones and parts of a jaw with molars.

The mastodon was probably between 25 and 30 years old when it died, say Tsoukala and Dutch colleague Dick Mol of the Rotterdam Museum of Natural History. Based on the partial skeleton, the researchers believe the animal stood 11.5 feet (3.5 meters) tall at the shoulder and weighed about six tons.

The scientists hope the rare find might shed some light on why mastodons went extinct in Europe about two million years ago, even though the mammals continued to roam North America until about 11,000 years ago.

Goods sold are not returnable? Know your legal Right

Legal Issue on Contract Law in Malaysia - Good for us to know

This is something I like to share with you from one of my seminar recently.
If you find this informative, pls circulate. It was conducted by A/P
Catherine Tay on Legal issues in E-commerce.

Notice that most of the time, the receipt / invoice you received from the
merchant carries this exclusion clause or similarly worded statement: "
Goods sold are not returnable" or "No refund once sold".

The thing that I have learnt from her is that: " As long as your good is
purchased for home use and not for business (i.e. to be resold), the above
exclusion clause is VOID.

That means, as long as the good is defective, regardless of what is worded;
you CAN get back all your money spent .. You do not have to accept a repair
on the good or an exchange. You CAN ask for a refund. AND you are LEGALLY
right and entitled to! What a relevation!!

And most of the times the merchant will refuse to return you your money.

Her advice? >From her own experience ( and no less than 7 and all
successful!), she will threaten the merchant with four words: "SEE YOU IN
COURT!"

The court here refers to the Small Claims Tribunal Court.

However, you don't have to tell them what court! All you have to pay is
RM10 admin fee and the loser (the merchant) will have to refund you the
money PLUS the admin fee!

She shared this with us because she felt that even educated people are
cowed by such unfair wording (which includes her jaded friends who are not
lawyers).

Pls try not to let the merchant fleece you the next time you have a
defective good.

I know where to file this. On the 16th floor of Putra Place (The Mall
opposite Putra World Trade Centre) . The form cost RM5.00. The Tribunal
will settle within 2 months period.

Allergic to ctas? Try dander!

Cats People who are allergic to cats may not have to get rid of their pets to find relief, if the findings of a new study hold up.

Tolerance to cats can be built up in allergic kids by placing increasing doses of standardized cat dander extract under the tongue, according to Spanish researchers.

In the medical journal Allergy, Dr. Emilio Alvarez-Cuesta of Hospital Ramon y Cajal, Madrid, and colleagues note that a first-line step for people with cat allergy is to remove cats from the home. However, this is often rejected or is not entirely effective, leaving immunotherapy as the only treatment.

In sublingual immunotherapy, or SLIT, the allergen is placed under the tongue, where it is absorbed into the system.

To see whether SLIT using cat dander extract works for cat allergies, the researchers randomly assigned 50 allergic youngsters to get daily SLIT drops with increasing levels of cat allergen or inactive "placebo" drops, for a year.

There were no reports of adverse reactions, and the investigators conclude the results suggest "that the cat SLIT used in this study was able to improve cat allergy based on natural exposure challenge."

The Cairo Toe

toeegypt.jpg

An artificial toe found on an Egyptian mummy may be the oldest working prosthesis in existence. The leather and wood toe dates from between 1069 and 664 BC, and shows wear, meaning it was used during the person's lifetime. Researchers will test a reproduction of the toe on volunteers who are missing their right big toe to see if it helps them walk. An earlier toe is believed to be merely cosmetic, since it doesn't bend. Link

Weird Watches - Originality Overdone

As you dig further into the depths of the industry of watchmaking, you may find a lot of weird stuff, which occurs whether due to the lack or overflow of imagination. Here you may find just a list of some very "interesting" watches. Some of them do not require any comments, others will definitely provoke questions.

The two designers of this timepiece are: Jean-François Ruchonnet and Vianney Halter and the watch itself is called the Cabestan. Surely this watch looks like no other, but it's so weird that a question arises: who would want to purchase, especially for $220,000. It's probably worth mentioning that there are only 135 pieces. Thus we have a weird watch for rich geeks.

Having this watch on your wrist make sure you don't get fired for being late. This one is for computer geeks, however there might be someone willing to look like a computer geek so this watch might come in handy. In order to read the time one must know the binary numeration system, otherwise he or she might look not only weird but dumb as well.

There are times when contemporary products get whether the industrial or retro look and it sometimes works, however not always. The latter is the case of this Sports Utility Watch. This watch boasts digital and analogue time, as well as a light, stopwatch, compass and thermometer. Maybe it is technologically advanced but it so bloody ugly, and it is still very weird.

It's a watch, really, no doubt. As a matter of fact if you look attentively you might notice the hands of the watch, situated just beneath the red crystal covered case. One way or another it will be more than uncomfortable to read the time since you will only see the red crystal. Just because this timepiece is designed for ladies it might not look weird if considered to look more like a bracelet.

What time is it? Sorry I didn't get you? Once again? I guess it takes time for you to read the time. Probably this timepiece it has something to do with fashion, maybe some tangency points with the latest trends, or maybe none of the above. All you have to do to read the time is follow the tiny balls (sorry for the expression), and the little hand situated in the middle of the dial.

This one supposes to represent a revolutionary concept. The 12 hour cycle is strangely divided into 4 quarters. Each quarter covers a 3 hour period. Thus each time a hand completes its cycle, it automatically springs back to its starting position. This occurs when the hand on the next dial has advanced a quarter of an hour. Got that? Now read the time, please.

This one is from a watch line called Icelink - very impressive. The developers think its really cool and technologically advanced to have a watch enriched with diamonds on the bezel and crown, having six time zones. It would be interesting to ask an LA glamor lady what time is it right now, for example, in Bucharest.

This watch is a combination of a Chronoswiss golden case and a Wittnauer TD1393 movement. Thus you obtain a dream watch of a geek. Nicely strange. Although the design of the watch is quite weird, its mechanism is very complicated. One question: why try to make a complicated watch, spending a lot of time and money, so only the ones with the highest IQ could read the time - why not be simpler and wiser?

This watch model is called Otium. The designers worked really hard to make it less comfortable for the wearer to read the time. The watch looks simple, so simple that one could barely read the time. Probably this timepice, just like most weird watches, was designed more for the purpose of attracting people's attention with its unusual way of telling the time and less for functionality.

The Rotating Earth Watch looks nice, but it's won't be much of use neither for those who want to look stylish nor for the ones who just need to know what time is it. The watch includes a rotating planet Earth that makes a full rotation once every 24 hours. The watch was created by a team of Japanese designers and the manufacturing assistance was provided by Seiko Instruments.

This watch is useful for teaching its wearer how to tell the time. Maybe it would come in handy for children who are just starting to learn what time is and how do watches work. Not much could be said about this battery powered thing. Its main advantage is its classical design mixed with the application of modern technology. Just one question: AM or PM?

When the green thingy elapses it will be just the time to throw away this weird timepiece. It looks modern but its usefulness brings doubts. Designers used advanced technologies to create the watch, but it is still interesting to see the potential clients who are willing to buy it.

This watch is a mix of everything classic, modern and weird. It has a black leather strap, which makes it classic, it has a golden case with six windows through which one could see numbers, which make the watch modern and the whole design plus the time telling feature of the watch make it weird. The designers of this watch really overdone with originality - at least the numbers are visible.

This model looks like some sort of calculator. It's bracelet and case are made of stainless steel, which make the watch, one way or another, shock and water resistant. However, these are all the advantages that can be mentioned here since it would be difficult for one to guess the necessary buttons. Surely if the person is not lazy enough to read the instruction than he or she might consider opening the "one-thousand-pages book" and get acknowledged with all of the timepiece's features. So where is the "show me time" button?

This model has something common with discos - it looks more like an equalizer. The equalizer bounces up and down for some time and then it turns off. Afterwards the watch leaves two dots so one could read the time. After five seconds the party continues, since the watch turns the time off and starts bouncing on.
